CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear colleagues,
The Twentieth International Conference on Information Technology and Journalism, will take place at the Inter-University Center in Dubrovnik, May 25 – 29, 2015. The conference is organized by the Institute for New Media and E-democracy (InMed), together with Department of Journalism; Faculty of Political Sciences, (University of Zagreb) and Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, (University of Zagreb).
Main subject of the conference is: Media Convergence
We also expect contributions on different connected themes, i.e.
Main changes in media production, distribution and use; including glocalization, infotainment, media ecology, online ethics – what are new rules, digital storytelling, multitasking, digital culture, sharing economy, native advertising, apps for/and journalism
IPSA’s Research Committee 10 on Electronic democracy and Faculty of Political Science in partnership with DEL research network are organizing IPSA Workshop on Workshop: “Changes in journalism: rethinking existing forms” on first two days of the Conference (25-26 May 2015). Following topics are announced:
Content creation in online news reporting; Brands, corporations, celebrities as publishers; Photography in news reporting; Catching up with the net generation: changes in newspapers and broadcast media; Role of social networks in journalism; Sharing for reaching audiences

The deadline for submission of papers, presentations and posters for Conference is April 20, 2015. Submissions should be send via e-mail to one of the directors’ addresses. For presentations, please send us the title, author(s) name(s) and e-mail, institutional affiliation(s), and an abstract (150-300 words) written in English.
Registration deadline is May 17th, 2015. We kindly ask all potential participants to register in advance. Those who are not presenting their research or applied work may register before May 17 if places are still available. The conference fee is 65€ for speakers, 80€ for participants without paper, and 50€ for students. The fee includes conference entry, proceedings and social program during the conference. Pre-conference social program is to be announced. Fee is payable at the conference in Dubrovnik.
