Inoslav Bešker – Memorial

 

Inoslav Bešker graduated from the Classical Gymnasium “Natko Nodilo” in Split, obtained his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, and earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Slavic Studies from the University of Milan.

 

Throughout his journalistic career, he worked for various media outlets, including Omladinski tjednik, Polet, Pitanja, Studentski list, Telegram, Start, Slobodnu Dalmaciju, Vjesnik, BBC, Radio 101, and others. He also served as the director of CDD, which was the publisher of Polet and Questions in the mid-1970s. During that time, he was a member of the Editorial Board of the magazine Novi Plamen.

 

Subsequently, he became a regular professor of Croatian Studies at the University of Split starting in 2013. Over the course of his career, he also taught Slavic Studies at the Oriental University in Naples, La Sapienza University in Rome, and the University of Bologna. Additionally, he lectured on investigative journalism at the University of Zagreb. Between 2013 and 2023, he was a professor of journalism and communication studies at the University of Dubrovnik.

 

He authored numerous scientific works and received numerous awards.
